Street art with Paramaribo Live Museum

A retired utility building on the corner of Heiligenweg and Waterkant, turned into a meeting point with murals, the first of them bringing nature into the city.

The Paramaribo Live Museum street art project aims to make Paramaribo’s inner city a more enjoyable place for residents and tourists, and to highlight Suriname’s rich cultural history.

At the corner of Heiligenweg and Waterkant, a retired utility building is being turned into a meeting point for passers-by. Because of the many historic events that took place there, the corner is also part of the historic city tours of United Tour Guides Suriname. Each of the four walls gets its own theme, based on history or nature. Forest93 partnered with Paramaribo Live Museum to bring nature into the city with the first wall.
