Green Growth Wildlife app
The first citizen science app in an indigenous language for documenting wildlife, built so anyone in Suriname can add to the country's biodiversity record.

The Green Growth Wildlife app is a citizen science tool for tracking, mapping and preserving Suriname’s biodiversity. Users act as the eyes and ears of Suriname’s forests by sharing photos, videos and updates of local plants and animals. It is available in several local and indigenous languages, including Trio, Saramaccan and Sranantongo.
This is the second app developed by Green Growth Suriname, after the Green Growth Forest app launched in 2020. The collected data builds a central biodiversity database to help researchers and policymakers manage Suriname’s natural resources sustainably.
The app runs on the Spotteron citizen science platform, and is available through https://app.greengrowthsuriname.org.
